Every year, more and more illegal immigrants enter our country; and it is past time that we secure our borders. Illegal immigration has strained our health care system, siphoned money from our economy, increased crime in our communities, and made us more susceptible to terrorism. We must secure our borders in order to end the flow of illegal immigrants into our country. We must allow our law enforcement officials and health care facilities to report illegal immigrants for deportation. We must punish those who consciously transport and harbor illegal immigrants. And we must give businesses the ability to verify their employees’ citizenship/legal residency and punish those who willfully employ illegal immigrants.

Congressman Kaptur has repeatedly supported the efforts of illegal immigrants to secure their foothold in American society. She consistently supports efforts to allow illegal immigrants to exploit our health care system, receive food stamps and other government assistance, and avoid being reported to federal immigration authorities by health care and law enforcement officials. She has supported cities that create safe havens for illegal immigrants. And she has compromised our national security by allowing our borders to remain open pathways for terrorists to enter the United States.
